Alexander James O’Dea, PA-C
Physician Assistant | Functional & Sleep Medicine Specialist
Alex specializes in sleep apnea and snoring at Rebis Health, with a particular focus on patients who are still struggling despite a normal sleep study or well-controlled sleep apnea. He understands that a clean test result does not always explain persistent fatigue or poor sleep, and that finding the real answer often requires looking further than the obvious.
Alex's approach centers on understanding why a patient is not sleeping well rather than simply treating the most visible symptom. He takes time to understand each patient's full story, evaluating breathing, airway health, lifestyle factors, and overall wellness before developing a personalized treatment plan. The goal is not just to improve sleep metrics but to help patients achieve lasting improvements in energy, daily function, and quality of life.
What draws patients to Alex is that he does not accept "your results are normal" as a complete answer when a patient still feels anything but normal. He approaches each case as its own puzzle, working collaboratively with patients until they have an explanation that actually makes sense of their experience and a plan they feel confident pursuing.

After growing up with injuries, I knew I wanted to work in medicine. My passion grew during my senior year at the University of Arizona, when a traumatic brain injury (TBI) ended my hockey career. Frustrated by traditional treatments, I sought alternative methods and researched concussion treatments for my Physiology Honor’s Thesis. I discovered the critical link between brain health and sleep, an often overlooked factor in recovery. This experience fueled my passion for functional medicine, where I combine evidence-based practices and sleep optimization to help others restore their health and well-being.
