Frequently asked questions.

1. About Rebis

What makes Rebis different from other sleep centers?

Rebis brings together fellowship-trained sleep physicians, airway-focused dentists, and board-certified integrative‑ & functional-medicine doctors under one roof. Our method is simple: Determine Root Cause → Optimize Sleep → Heal — all supported by advanced diagnostics and a truly collaborative team care model.

Who is Rebis for?

Anyone who wants more than a quick fix for snoring, insomnia, sleep apnea, or other sleep-related disorders. If you’re looking for whole-person, evidence-based care that seeks the “why,” not just the “what,” Rebis is likely a good fit.

What does “Rebis” mean?

In alchemical Latin, rebis means “two‑fold” or “a single thing made from two.” We chose it to reflect our unification of conventional sleep medicine with integrative, root‑cause‑focused healing.

How long have you been in practice?

Our team has practiced clinical sleep medicine in Colorado since 2008 and has maintained national accreditation since 2015.

2. Conditions & Services

Which conditions do you treat?

  • Obstructive & central sleep apnea

  • Insomnia & circadian‑rhythm disorders

  • Snoring & upper‑airway resistance

  • Restless legs & movement disorders

  • Pediatric sleep issues (ages 3+)

  • Sleep‑related cardiometabolic, immune, GI and mental‑health concerns (e.g., hypertension, type 2 diabetes, GERD, anxiety, chronic pain)

What services do you offer?

  • Home and in‑lab sleep studies

  • CPAP & alternative PAP therapies

  • Oral appliance & airway dentistry/orthodontia

  • Cognitive‑behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT‑I)

  • Integrated/functional‑medicine consults & advanced labs

  • Pediatric airway and myofunctional programs

Can I keep seeing Rebis after I was diagnosed elsewhere?

Absolutely. We frequently assume long‑term management for patients who were tested or treated at another center and want a more comprehensive approach.

Do you coordinate with my PCP or specialists?

Yes. With your consent we share records, collaborate on treatment plans, and keep your broader care team in the loop.

3. Visits & Appointments

Do you offer virtual visits?

Yes — secure video consults or in‑office appointments are available, and many follow‑ups can be done virtually. Some procedures (e.g., oral‑appliance fitting) must be in person.

Is there an initial consultation?

Every new patient receives a 45‑ to 60‑minute consult to review history, goals, and the best diagnostic path.

How do I switch my appointment from in‑person to virtual (or vice versa)?

Call our front desk and we’ll happily make the change.

What should I complete before my first visit?

Activate your patient‑portal account, sign HIPAA, privacy and financial forms, and securely place a card on file.

4. Sleep Studies

What kinds of sleep tests do you perform?

We offer both Home Sleep Tests (HST) and overnight in‑lab polysomnography at every Rebis location. Children ages 3 and up can be tested either at home (when appropriate) or in the lab.

Can my HST kit be mailed?

Yes. You may pick it up or have it shipped to your door with return packaging provided.

How do you decide between an HST and an in‑lab study?

Your provider weighs symptom profile, medical history, age, and safety considerations. Complex breathing disorders, significant heart or lung disease, or certain pediatric cases often need the in‑lab setting for comprehensive monitoring.

When will I get my results?

Most reports are ready within 7-10 business days; your provider will review them with you and outline next steps.

5. Billing & Insurance

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. Rebis is in‑network with all major plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.

Which insurers are you contracted with?

UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, Kaiser, and others.

What will I owe at the visit?

All copays and any estimated out‑of‑pocket amounts are due at check‑in. Flexible Spending (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are accepted.

Can I use out‑of‑network benefits?

Yes. If we are not contracted with your plan, we’ll bill out‑of‑network and you may still receive coverage per your policy.

Will I know the cost beforehand?

For any service estimated over $500, you’ll receive a Good Faith Estimate before you commit.

Do you offer elective services not covered by insurance?

Yes — advanced functional‑medicine labs, genetic panels, nutraceuticals, and certain airway‑dentistry procedures. You’ll always be informed of costs and coverage limits in advance.

6. Policies & Logistics

What is your cancellation/no‑show fee?

$50 for office visits and $100 for lab or testing appointments.

Are your facilities accessible?

All Rebis locations meet ADA accessibility standards; please let us know if you need any specific accommodations and we’ll be glad to assist.

How do I request my medical records?

Send a secure message through your patient portal and our team will provide the records electronically.

Do you have a foreign language service if I don’t speak English?

Yes, many of our staff are fluent in Spanish and you may request a Spanish speaking medical provider. Additionally, we have foreign language translation service we may utilize when necessary.
