Frequently Asked Questions

About Rebis

What makes Rebis different from other sleep centers?

Caring for someone with sleep issues means more than just handing out CPAP machines! At Rebis, we understand that caring for our patients means caring about our patients. The Rebis team starts with the specialized knowledge of Sleep Medicine, adds the root-cause-seeking ethos of specialty-trained Integrative Medicine, and tops it off with the cutting-edge advances of Airway Focused Dentistry — forming the most forward-looking Sleep Medicine ecosystem on the planet. Our method is simple: Determine Root Cause → Optimize Sleep → Heal, supported by advanced diagnostics and a truly collaborative team care model.

Who is Rebis for?

Rebis is for those who have been “left behind” by our diagnosis- and treatment-based fragmented system… it’s for anyone who wants more than a quick fix for snoring, insomnia, sleep apnea, or other sleep-related disorders. If you’re looking for whole-person, evidence-based care that seeks the “why,” not just the “what,” Rebis is likely a good fit.

What does “Rebis” mean?

In alchemy, Rebis represents wholeness born from integration — the Magnus Opus, or Great Work. We chose the name to reflect our unification of conventional sleep medicine with integrative, root‑cause‑focused healing, and our commitment to collaborative co-discovery with our patients.

Visits & Appointments

Do you offer virtual visits?

Yes. Secure video consults are available for many visit types, while some procedures (i.e Airway Dentistry) require in-person attendance.

Is there an initial consultation?

Every new patient receives a 45- to 60-minute consult to assess their history, goals, and map out the best diagnostic approach.

How do I switch my appointment from in-person to virtual (or vice versa)?

Call our front desk and we’ll take care of the change for you.

What should I complete before my first visit?

You’ll need to activate your patient portal, complete HIPAA/privacy/financial forms, and place a form of payment on file.

Sleep Studies

What kinds of sleep tests do you perform?

We offer Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT) and in-lab polysomnography. Children aged 3+ can be tested either at home (when appropriate) or in the lab.

Can my HSAT kit be mailed?

Yes — we offer both pickup and shipping options, with return materials included.

How do you decide between an HSAT and in-lab study?

Your provider will recommend the best option based on your history, age, symptoms, and any underlying health conditions.

When will I get my results?

Reports are usually ready within 7–10 business days. Your provider will then review your results and next steps with you.

Will I know the cost beforehand?

Yes. You’ll receive a Good Faith Estimate for any service expected to exceed $500.

Do you offer elective services not covered by insurance?

Yes — including functional labs, genetic testing, and certain dentistry procedures. We’ll always clarify costs up front.
